PEC [Community School Program]

APSA develops in Casa Grande the Community School Program for young people with Asperger's Syndrome aged from 16 to 18 years old.

Given that they are on school age and under the tutelage of the Ministry of Education, the program assumes a systematic articulation with the special education teams existing in the school bodies. These teams organise thePlanos Individuais de Transição (PIT’s)[Individual Transition Plans] existing in some of theProgramas Educativos Individuais (PEI) [Individual Educational Programs], as well as the respective internship places.

The Technical Team of the Casa Grande intervenes in partnership in the development of PIT’s, with a team of professionals in the training of social skills, in mediation between the pre-professional context (internship) and the needs of the young adult and his family.
